My daughter attends the Verve Martial Arts home ed class and I can honestly say it is the most supportive, inclusive class.
Ash is so patient with the children, keeping them focused and engaged. My daughter enjoys the classes and is always so excited for the next week. She has started to work through the grades and is determined to follow in the footsteps of the Verve karate team. We also booked her on to the Easter holiday session, which she loved too!
Her love of Karate made me book 1-2-1 classes and I have definitely caught the karate bug too. Great for fitness, confidence and self defence. I would recommend everyone to try a class 🙂

My two kids absolutely love Verve Martial Arts. Ash and all the instructors are brilliant! The sessions are fun and energetic but also disciplined and focused. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the older students there are amazing role models for the younger ones. I highly recommend 😁

My boys and husband all joined Verve in Thetford and they LOVE it!! Best karate club in Thetford, they're so welcoming, friendly and make the classes super fun, you really feel part of the Verve family. They've all progressed so much and learn new skills each week, including self defence. One of my boys struggles academically and in certain social situations but he really has enjoyed being part of Verve and feels so proud to have achieved his new belts at the gradings. Everyone is welcome no matter your age, skills, fitness or size... So give it a go!

A great club with a very nice dojo. Very friendly with the senior grades ready to help and advise beginners. The prime objective of the club is about people and learning martial arts, not just making money. I'd recommend it for any age from learning traditional Wado Ryu to full contact sparring. The enthusiasm and commitment of Sensei Ash reflects through the whole club.

Ash and the team at Verve Karate are absolutely brilliant! They have such a wonderful way of engaging with the kids—full of patience, encouragement, and genuine support. My son has SEN needs, and it’s been amazing to see how easily they make it for him to enjoy the classes and progress through the belts. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and you can tell the instructors really care about each child’s experience. I couldn’t recommend Verve Karate more highly for any parent looking for a club that truly understands and supports every child.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ash and Verve. My children attend the home-ed classes and Ash has the most amazing way with the children. He is absolutely brilliant at understanding their needs and how to get the very best out of them. His way means they want to work hard for him. Verve has very quickly become a highlight of our week.

Couldn't recommend this club enough, very friendly and welcoming and have enough classes to accommodate everyone. Very motivating from achieving belt grades to competing at competitions. The instructor team knows how to bring out the best in everyone.

I am so glad that we joined Verve for my son to learn karate. He started when he was 10 and has been going for over 2 years now and loves it so much, increasing classes from 1 a week, to 2 and now 3! Ash and the team of instructors make it fun to train, and it's been a great way for my son to keep active, get fitter and stronger, interact with different age ranges and gain confidence. The Verve team are all so supportive, helpful, encouraging and understanding. Words just aren't enough to praise them all. I love it and everything Verve stands for! 5 Stars and more!

My son (9) started training with Ash in Feb 2023 after a big move from Essex. I’m so glad we found Ash and his team and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to them for helping Jacob to feel comfortable and relaxed. The first few weeks of getting used to a new club was tough for him but Ash was so supportive and understanding of his struggles and allowed him time and space to get used to his new surroundings. I’d also like to give a special thanks to Evie and Carmen for taking Jacob under their wing and encouraging him to get involved when he was shy. I’m really looking forward to seeing how far Jacob progresses at Verve and I’m confident that the team will give him all the help, support and encouragement he needs.

Ash and the team are brilliant, they are friendly, caring and supportive. They work hard with whoever joins giving their all to train them hard. Ash celebrates the success of every individual and gives every individual their moment to remember on their birthdays (all done in the most funnest of ways)

Me and my 5 year old have been training with Ash for a few months now and we are both loving it, Ash is a great teacher and I would recommend his classes to anyone, he's got loads of experience and knowledge to share and you can tell he really enjoys teaching martial arts.
Update- I’ve now been training with Ash at Verve Karate for 4 years, I’m now 2nd kyu (brown belt) and still loving it! My health has improved no end, Ive made some great friends and couldn’t recommend this club enough!

I could not recommend this club enough. Both myself and my son have been training here over the last year and we love it. So much so that my daughter has just joined and my youngest son is all set to join the new junior Astros class. Ash is a great instructor, very friendly and approachable and all the junior instructors do an amazing job, especially when working with the younger students.

I joined Verve Karate in December 2022 as a 21 year old who had never done any kind of martial arts beforehand. After 4 months of training with this club, I can honestly say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. Everyone at verve treats you like family. Ash and his team are brilliant - you can tell how much teaching karate means to them! You will learn so much whilst having a lot of fun with the perfect mix of sparing, fitness and traditional karate classes. It is so good for your fitness, confidence, focus and your overall mental health. I would honestly recommend this club to anyone… I wish I had the confidence to start sooner than I did

Ash is a great instructor, patient friendly and very informative, he has a lot of time for his students. The club and all the members are friendly and always happy to help anyone that needs it, my son thoroughly enjoys the karate and gets a lot from it.
